Cry-Correct

CryoCorrect (often called Cry-correct) is a gentle, non-invasive skin treatment offered in a skincare clinic. SkinCeuticals created it to safely remove common, harmless skin spots and bumps. It uses a special device to freeze away age spots, sunspots, skin tags, and other small surface issues on the face, hands, or body. Most people see great results after just one quick visit with very little discomfort or recovery time.

How It Works

The treatment uses a small, handheld device called the CryoCorrect PRECISION device. It looks like a pen and delivers a very fine, controlled spray of carbon dioxide gas straight onto the spot for only 5 to 8 seconds.

This gas freezes the unwanted skin cells at a mild temperature. The freezing causes the cells to break apart and die naturally. Because the freeze is gentle, it does less harm to the healthy skin around the spot. Over the next few days or weeks, the treated area darkens, forms a small scab, and then flakes off on its own. Fresh, smoother skin appears underneath.

The Treatment Procedure

• Consultation - The skincare professional examines your skin and talks with you about the best plan.

• Quick Treatment - They use the pen-like device to freeze each spot. It usually takes just a few seconds per spot.

• Session Time - The whole visit is often under 30 minutes, even if several spots are treated.

You can go back to your normal day right away.

What to Expect During and After

1. During the treatment - You will feel a brief, mild cold sensation that most people find easy to tolerate. No numbing cream is usually needed.

2. Right after - The spot may look white for a short time, then turn darker.

3. Days 1 to 7 - The spot gets darker and may form a scab or flake. Do not pick at it.

4. Weeks 2 to 3 - The scab falls off naturally, and new skin appears. It may look pink or lighter at first.

5. Full results - You usually see the final smooth skin in 2 to 4 weeks (sometimes up to 12 weeks). Many people need only one treatment.

After the visit, protect your skin with sunscreen every day and use gentle skincare products. Your provider may recommend special creams to help the skin heal nicely and prevent new spots.
