Halo is a hybrid fractional laser that combines ablative and non-ablative wavelengths in a single treatment, addressing texture, tone, pigmentation, and fine lines all at once. This dual-wavelength approach delivers more dramatic results than a single-wavelength laser, with downtime that's more manageable than a fully ablative resurfacing treatment.
Halo uses two laser wavelengths simultaneously: an ablative wavelength that treats the surface layer of skin to improve texture and tone, and a non-ablative wavelength that penetrates deeper to target damaged tissue and stimulate collagen production without disrupting the skin's surface. Combining both allows Halo to treat multiple layers of skin in one session, customizable to your specific skin concerns and downtime tolerance.
Here is what to expect from start to finish, so there are no surprises on the day.
01
Your provider evaluates your skin type, concerns, and downtime availability to determine the appropriate treatment intensity.
02
The face is thoroughly cleansed to remove any oils, makeup, or debris before treatment.
03
A topical numbing cream is applied and left to take effect, minimizing discomfort during the procedure.
04
The Halo laser is passed evenly across the face, delivering customized ablative and non-ablative energy based on your treatment plan.
05
A cooling device or soothing product is applied immediately after to calm the skin.
06
You'll receive detailed instructions on skincare and sun protection, along with what to expect as the skin renews over the following days, typically involving some redness and light peeling.
